Parking

Paid parking is available in the lot directly in front of the building entrance. 

Entering the Building 

Enter the building from the large entrance door, pictured above.

Locating the Lab

Once you enter the building, proceed through the second door straight ahead. The office entrance door is the first door on the left and the lab entrance door is the second.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Arrival time: 8:30 a.m.

Pre-requisite

University of Guelph Biosafety and Lab Safety courses. These online courses will be made available to you at no cost on CATTI’s platform upon registration to the bootcamp.

Both courses must be completed before the first day of the bootcamp.

Dress code

Closed shoes and pants (legs covered). Preferably no jewelry.

Meals

You have the option to either bring your own lunch or purchase food from the nearby OVC cafeteria, which is conveniently located close to CATTI’s training lab. Due to the course’s demanding schedule, we strongly advise against having lunch outside OVC.

  • Printed version of the presentation slide decks for your personal use (optional). The slides will be made available to you on CATTI’s platform before the bootcamp. Please note that no printer will be made available on site.
Parking

Pay-per-phone app parking

There is a pay-per-phone app parking (about $20/day) situated right outside CATTI’s lab (see map above).

  • Daily prepaid parking

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Deadline:

Early Cancellation: If you cancel your registration at least 40 days before the scheduled start date of the on-site class, you will be eligible for a full refund.

Late Cancellation: Cancellations made within 20 to 39 days before the scheduled start date will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the total class fee.

Last-Minute Cancellation: Cancellations made within 6 days or less before the scheduled start date, as well as no-shows, will not be eligible for a refund.

Non-Refundable Portion (if specified at registration):

This covers administrative costs or materials that are prepared in advance.

Substitutions:

Participants can send a substitute attendee in their place if they are unable to attend. Please make sure to inform us in advance for any substitute attendee, with all the information needed for registration.

Force Majeure:

Force majeure events shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

a. Natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, and wildfires.

b. Acts of terrorism, war, civil unrest, or government actions, including travel restrictions, lockdowns, or quarantine measures.

c. Pandemics, epidemics, or contagious diseases that pose a significant health risk to participants or instructors, as determined by relevant health authorities.

d. Labor strikes, labor disputes, or other labor-related issues that prevent the lab training from taking place.

e. Any other events or circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the parties that make it impossible or commercially unreasonable to conduct the lab training.
